Frequently asked questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Why did WAHA implement an all online registration system? There are several different reasons. First, our membership has asked for it for many years. By offering a web site and online player registration, this gives families a centralized location for all their hockey information. Although it may take a little getting used to, we believe that once you become familiarized with it, you will find it a very useful tool. Additionally, all WAHA board members serve as unpaid volunteers. Their duties take many hours to perform. The many capabilities of this hockey specific software system will help minimize volunteers time away from our families and more effectively serve our membership with enhanced communication.
Is the website safe? Yes, absolutely! The site is trusted and secure. For more detailed security information, go to www.goalline.ca.
Why is payment by debit or credit card required? Unfortunately, due to lack of payment, WAHA has had thousands of dollars in players fees go unpaid each year. It is very difficult to ask a child to leave the ice after they are already playing. Requiring credit or debit card payments will help eliminate this issue.
Can I make payments as I have in the past? Yes, you can still choose the installment option when paying. Please remember that it is your responsibility to return to the website to make the additional payments prior to your child taking the ice.
How do I register my child online?
On the home page, click on the “ONLINE REGISTRATION” tab located on the left hand side.
At the top of the page you will see instructions regarding obtaining your USA Hockey registration number. Follow the link to the USA Hockey registration page. You must register online with USA Hockey to complete the insurance and PNAHA fee portion of your registration. Select “Ice Player” registration and follow the instructions. The cost to register this year is $39. Once completed, you will be issued a registration number for the 2008-2009 season. Be prepared to print this page or write down your number. When you have obtained this number, you need to return to the WAHA website and input the number in the appropriate field. Note that this is a required field and you cannot complete your PLAYER FEE registration without it. Additionally, you must register before you will be allowed on the ice.
On the WAHA Online Registration page, input the player’s name, date of birth, USA Hockey number, email and other contact information. Continue with parent’s names, emails and cell phone contact information. It is important that you give accurate and complete information as this is how your coach will contact you in the future and will be used by team managers.
Choose either the full or installment payment option by selecting the radio button for your appropriate age division and league (House or Rep.) Please be aware that if you choose the payment option, it will be your responsibility to return to the site and make the additional payments by the date indicated.
Carefully read the refund policy.
Click on the link to print the “Code of Conduct” and the “Consent to Treat” forms. Each player is responsible for printing, reading, completing and then giving these forms to your coach PRIOR to skating. Please bring them to the first practice.
Check the box agreeing that you have read the refund policy and printed the required forms and then click “CONTINUE.”
Verify that all information is correct. If corrections are required, use the back arrow on your browser. If all information is correct, click “CONTINUE” to proceed to the payment page.
Input your payment information. You may pay by either credit or debit card. Please be assured that the site is secure. Once completed, you should receive a confirmation page stating that your registration is complete. If you do not receive this message, you have not registered. You will be contacted regarding practices and tryouts. Please check the web site for the most current information. THANK YOU!
